Q: The kayak legs can be done with normal clothes or it’s better to have kayak specific clothing? Like a wetsuit or similar?

A: Last year most teams paddled with normal clothes but wore gore-tex jacket and pants in the night or if it was raining. The water will be around 13-14 degrees, and as mentioned, the nights can get pretty cold.

Q: Hiking crampons (placed only in the front and middle part of the shoe) are ok or do we have to bring “classic” full mountaineering crampons?

A: You must have crampons that cover the whole shoe but they don’t need to be classic mountaineering crampons. You are aloud to use crampons for running shoes, like these: http://www.kahtoola.com/crampons.php
