The APEX Race is always welcoming enthusiastic, adventurous and friendly people who want to experience a World Series Adventure Race as a part of the enthusiastic, adventurous and friendly race organization. In 2011, we had a really awesome group of dedicated people who did a fantastic job and had a fantastic time!
Volunteers will be needed during the whole week, Sunday June 3rd (or early Monday 4th) up until Sunday evening 10th. Travel back on the 11th (or later) is recommended.
PLEASE NOTE: This will not be a vacation, and you will probably neither get as much sleep as you are used to, nor have a lot of free time. However, we can guarantee that you will meet a lot of great people, experience an exiting international sports event and take home some unforgettable memories. You will also get to spend a weeks time in one of the most beautiful areas in the world!
Duties for volunteers include, but are not limited to, staffing the headquarter, checkpoints or transition areas, transporting equipment around the course or assisting directors and media.
Volunteers have to get to Interlaken on their own expense but once on site the event will cover costs for accommodation and most meals. The accommodation will be at Balmers Tentvillage, which is also race headquarters, where you will sleep in rooms of four.
For volunteering at the event you will also be given a nice giftbag, including some event branded high quality outdoor apparel.
Volunteers must be able to speak fairly good English, since that is the official language of the race. Appreciated is also good knowledge in German.
